  • Below you will find pictures of my studio.

  • The room is not very large only approximately 10'x12'.

  • I tried not to waste any space, so there are shelves between the legs of my work table as well as floor to ceiling cabinets, and shelves that fit under the table as well. Everything is designed to come apart so it will move easily. I purchase most everything at Home Depot including the track lighting which I installed myself. I added extra shelves to most of the cabinets as well as extended some of them 6 inches in depth for better storage. The cabinet tops are just sheets of melamine cut to size. The extra pieces were used to make more shelves! Seriously I wasted nothing....

    I have tried to fill this space with light and things that make me happy...

       

  • The bead cabinet was custom made for me by my ex-husband. He also made my worktable, the cabinet for my buffer and hung the large storage area above the worktable. You can see the corner of it in the photo above to the right (the photo with the mirror/disco balls.) I store my works-in-progress up there. We did all the work ourselves.

  • Around the top of the room are shelves that display some of my dolls & projects.

  • I also have three floor-to-ceiling shelves that hold most of my fabric stash.

  • Most importantly I have several lights on the tables even though I have the track lighting. I work often late at night so the extra light seems to help with eye fatigue. Some are OTT lights, others simply have True Spectrum light bulbs (GE I think)?

  • The floors are hardwood and were left the way I found them after I pulled out the carpeting. This way I am not worried if I spill something!

  • Now looking at these picture I realize just how much stuff I  have accumulated  over the years. YIKES!!!
